I grew up on Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut.... the type of pizza that you can grab by the crust and eat with one hand. Now I come to hear that "New York Style" pizza is supposedly "the best". I don't get it. I've tried it and as far as I've been able to tell, New York Style is flimsy pizza that when you grab a piece by the crust, the whole thing just flops over like a wet noodle and all the cheese and toppings fall off onto the floor so you're left with a soggy piece of limp dough. I don't see how that's the best.

I forgot about a place here in Phoenix called Oreganos. They have a Stuffed Pizza that is about as thick as a cheese cake and is awesome. This is the one I usually get...
the Sproccoli Tucked away in a deep dish crust, we combine fresh spinach, broccoli, cheese, and a hint of roasted garlic, covered gently with a soft blanket of crust and topped with sauce. Yow! 10" $16.75 / 12" $18.75 It looks expensive for how small the sizes but with it being so thick the 12" can actually feed about 6-8 people. Now I'm hungry again damn it. |
who would of thought that a pizza thread would have lived this long?. :)
