i guess it would be easier if you're going to use a table for your laptop rather than putting it into your lap.

Might be a good idea. I am actually trying to avoid using my lappy while having it on my lap right now. The heat is supposed to damage the family jewels

I was considering one of the type that goes under the edge of a chair or couch and is tiltable. But they all have a wheel and my furniture has a steel frame all around the bottom and there is no room, which is too bad.
It gets too warm to actually sit it in my lap during summertime.

I just got one of those as seen on tv ones, no wheels, slides right up under the couch just fine. Works great, I think it's called a table mate or some shit.
