BluMedia 05-10-2006 01:50 AM

Shocking 05-10-2006 02:03 AM

those Godaddy fuckers

potter 05-10-2006 02:11 AM

I cannot believe all the godaddy hate in this thread. It just cracks me up at how absent minded you people are. None of you have domains at registrars that are not FOR .xxx.

You people need to stop misdirecting your anger about .xxx and wake the fuck up.

Even my long time running domainnamesystems.com was going to offer .XXX domains.

All the registrys are going to offer .XXX if it becomes available. that's what they do, make domains available for those that want to register them.

Of course they are all onboard to have .XXX approved.. the more TLD's there is, the more money they will make.

Fight the boycotting!

Exactly. :thumbsup :thumbsup

But not all Registars sent letters of endorsement.

BIG DIFFF there.

I'm sure all registrars sent in their encouragement..

facialfreak 05-10-2006 02:15 AM

The number of people bashing godaddy in this thread is hilarious !!!

EVERY LAST FUCKING DOMAIN REGISTRAR will welcome the new revenue stream, so blatently outright stupid attacks on godaddy because they have the balls to admit it, shows just how much people here know about business.

Once again GFY proves that it is not the WSJ ... :1orglaugh

The ones doing all the crying here to me seem to be the exact same ones that were crying when Visa announced their $750 setup fees ... the ones who cannot afford it.

Maybe something like this will be a good way to separate the 'men from the kids'

I hear MickeyD's is hiring ...

:Oh crap

Hope they won't get much of the .xxx-pie if it will happen.
Fuck them. It would be good to make a list of companies supporting .xxx and boycott their services.

Currently being the #1 registrar on the planet I'd say they'd get a decent slice.

I don't plan on moving any domains and I think the people that are, are going through a lot of hassle to accomplish very little. Not worth it imo.

Conventionally and professionally those mindful of thier money are careful of those they empower.

That particular act of GoDaddy is not really in the "Best" interests for the whole of all, nor helping an absolute threat to Freedom Of Speech, Expression, all the while they are so very free to express the approval...

It does not necessarily mean they are not subject to reprisal by those that put food on the table for them should users of GODADDY express themselves with the pocket book.

Freedom does have a price and they just short changed alot adult webmasters.

Quite the contrary. It's illogical to presume a registrar is against, and has not sent in it's views on .xxx yet.

BTW: .xxx has been going on for years now. I'm sure most of the registrars have sent in their views a long long long time ago.

I use exactly namecheap and dotster and they are great

whats your problem with them?

exactly

if you are sitting with your wife in hospital and she's dying on cancer in terrible pain and you're waiting for the final doctor decision whether she has any chances to survive or if any treatment should be stopped and then comes some guy offering funeral services and saying "euthanasia is great" then you gonna kick him in the ass !

polish_aristocrat 05-10-2006 04:46 AM

but good thing - as some of you may have perhaps noticed - Mr Vint Cerf - ICANN chairman replied to that GoDaddy post there on the public coments page ( saying some "thank you for the opinion bla blah" ) - and that at least shows that the public comments are monitored by ICANN indeed

Yeah, it was great last week when a DDOS attack against ONE domain hosted on their "managed" DNS platform brought down their entire operation for at least 24-48 hours.

I've been using them for years too and used to think they are the safest, but really if thats how they manage their own sevices how do you think they are going to handle attempts to steal your domains? They seem to have their heads buried pretty far up their own asses and still think its 1999.

RogerV3 05-10-2006 02:00 PM

of course they would thats there business.... money talks

nofx 05-10-2006 02:01 PM

Dirty Dane 05-10-2006 02:01 PM

BluMedia 05-10-2006 06:17 PM

Ok so they .xxx wasn't passed but I am not forgetting this one fucking GoDaddy.
