    wtf is dumprep.exe?

anyone heard of this? I'm wondering if it's a virus or spyware 'cause all my browser windows just closed and my hidden spy dectector logged an IP with a file called dumprep.exe, if I find the fucker(s) involved I'll rip their fucking balls off and shove 'em down their throats!!

When Windows crashes, it "dumps the core" similar to Unix. dumprep.exe creates a "dump" report, which basically includes data in certain memory areas, the status of system software, what versions of libraries are in memory, etc..

You can turn it off somewhere in control panel - not sure where..

dumprep.exe is part of the XP OS - least "normally" - but could be a target for shit.
