anyone know why I get popups on some galleries but others dont? - GoFuckYourself.com

I'm doing gallery reviews for a tgp and once in a while, I'd guess 1 in every 40 galleries I review will give me popups. When I tell the tgp owner about it he doesnt get popups on the gallery, he just sees the gallery.

any ideas why this may be?

I'm feeling like an ass everytime I find a gallery with popups and he's not getting any when he goes to it.

I remember a post here talking about cheating tgps by sending a different gallery based on the IP of the person viewing it, so the reviewer sees 1 thing and others see something else. Is that possible?

I'm reaching for answers here cuz I have no clue

get adaware and get rid of some spyware from your system... sounds like that.... like when i use to go to ebay, another auction site would jump up... and when i went to Ibill a gambling site would jump up..... Some galleries might just be triggering certain keywords

Just blacklist the entire internet like babes4free has done. I heard that he had a serious heart attack when someone submitted a tgp2 gallery to him.

Sounds like you have some nice scumware on your computer

Try going to www.download.com download ad-aware. Remove most or all of the programs listed there. If you use kazaa, you will have to leave "cydoor" in there, otherwise get rid of them all. A lot of programs install those programs without even telling you. gator and other similar ones,

You might ask the tgp owner if he has javascript etc disabled as well. That would be another easy explanation.

Id bet you have some spyware stuff on your PC... get that Adware thingy and get rid of it.

I had a trade partner getting pissy with me because of a supposed console that pops up when my site or any gallery on that domain is loaded.

I was like WTF you talkin about Willis? Dude should have realized that the problem was on his local machine, and not mine...being he got the same popup when visiting sites like Porncity or Persian Kitty

Im reviewer and have the same problems like you but i think i know why i see popups and us webmaster dont. Its because galleries or freehosts have traffic filter and e.g. german surfer see popups/dialer and us surfer see the gallery. I hate this shit....
