I see this awesome picture from nasa that i want to use as a logo for my site.

how do i approach them saying that i want to use one of their graphics as a logo?

ya its a comic image of something, no copyright info on the page..

but it does not mention nasa at all nor identify it as part of their space program

If I remember you can pretty much slap on picture courtesy of NASA and use it. There are a few other rules and I am sure that the link above covers them.

Works this way for most stuff the US Government makes.
