PC. More apps and hardware. Try to find a lot of games on Mac. Mac only has one button and XP is superior to OSX IMO.

" learned discussions on the pairing of Intel and Apple have focused primarily on the implications to the PC manufacturing sector. I think they are missing a much bigger picture. Perhaps, sensing that Apple is about to participate in its second radical transformation of consumer technology, Intel is hedging a bet. Perhaps, the truth is even more dramatic than that... more

Now that the Mac can run both Mac and Windows Program, I'll say the Mac is definitely the best choice.

Go for a mac. PCs require way more maintenance, and run into problems much more often.

Find me a PC Mouse that does this:

Innovative Scroll Ball and button
Perfectly positioned to roll smoothly under just one finger, Mighty Mouse's Scroll Ball offers full 360-degree scrolling capability ? up/down, left/right and diagonally. You can scroll long web pages, pan full-size images, maneuver around large spreadsheets, control a video timeline and more. And you can even click the Scroll Ball to access your favorite Tiger features such as Dashboard, Spotlight or Exposé.

Touch-sensitive top shell
It looks and feels like a sleek one-button mouse, but Mighty Mouse's smooth top shell hides a powerful secret: touch-sensitive technology under the shell detects which part of the mouse you're clicking, so you can both left-click and right-click. And if you prefer the simplicity of a classic one-button mouse, Mighty Mouse is up to the task. Just use the Mac OS X Tiger system preference pane to configure it how you want.

Force-sensing side buttons
When you give Mighty Mouse a squeeze, force-sensing side buttons can be configured to activate Tiger features such as Dashboard, Exposé or a whole host of other customizable features.

Customizable with Tiger
If you have Mac OS X Tiger, Mighty Mouse can give you fingertip access to the special features you love. Simply use the system preference panel to configure Mighty Mouse in the way that makes you most powerful. Control the Scroll Ball's tracking and click functions, as well as the right, left and side click functions. And you even can set up different mouse profiles for every user account on your Mac.

Optical Tracking
Powered by a precision optical sensor, Mighty Mouse provides responsive and accurate cursor movement on almost any type of surface ? no mouse pad required.

There's so many misconceptions about the mac, I bet half the people who slag off macs haven't used one.

Simply look at the list of major features for Windows Vista and mac users have had those features for well over a year with Tiger.

The mac experience is just so much nicer and there's nothing you can do on a PC that you can't on a mac, except submission.

Mac shareware rocks, stability is awesome, security is awesome. I switched over from Windows XP a couple of years ago and now simply hate working on my Windows machine. Compared to my macs is cluttered, ugly, slow, unitiative and annoying.

If anyone is buying a new computer or notebook you have to buy a mac. Even if you don't like OS X you can still run windows perfectly.

Not too mention Apple hardware has the best build quality in the industry. Mac market share is on the rise, time to give it a go.

That's because XP is a 5 year old operating system vs 1 year old. OS X likes memory. Vista's system requirements are huge, even more so.

Short answer: Use what you're comfortable with.

Mac people like macs, well, because they're macs. PC people like PCs because they double as an XBox, and being the prevelant system, most programs are written to work for them, whereas Macs are only getting a nod most recently.

I used to do all of my development on PCs, using Windows for the desktops, and UNIX based hosts. I've condensed it to one aging G5 iMac, and one PC I turn on to do testing with IE because VirtualPC is too damn slow.

You use what you're familiar with, or you attempt to be objective and use what works for you. I discovered I work faster with one mouse button, and I'm not tempted by games. ;)

I was just about the write the exact same thing that toonpornblog was going to write

figure out what YOU are comfortable with, not everyone else

mac and pc are pretty much equal these days, one will come out with something faster than the other, then the other will come out with something faster....

so, decide what YOU personally like best, and get it
