How do you organize your files?
If you fail to plan.... then you plan to fail.
I'm well organized but one thing seems to trouble me. I have 100's of banners from dozens of sponsors. I organize the images in sponsor specific folders and sub folders for each niche. My problem you ask.... Well which fuckin domain or site do I host them on? On one domain? Spread them out? Fuck organization? there are problems in both areas. For one, if you host them on one domain. What happens if you forget to renew the domain, you're fucked. Two, if you have them spread out on different domains, what happens if accidently overwrite or delete a banner. Other sites using those banners are broken. Any solutions. ![]() |

host them on one domain and pull from there.... and don't be a blockhead and forget to renew.... and even if you do, just move them to a different domain.
why the hell would you even consider duplicating them for multiple sites? You into burning maximum bandwich? |

I put all of mine in a folder called banners on the root of my server. From there I symlink the folder to all my domains. This way if I add a banner it's added to all my domains at once. If I drop a sponsor same thing I delete all at once.
It also saves tons of room on the server. |
