Will sex education and medical sites be forced to go .XXX??

Some of them have "adult material"...

How about H.I.V. related health sites? They're adult-related web-sites, are they gonna be forced to .XXX

Or how about sex education web-sites geared towards educating kids about sexually transmitted dieseases??? Hmm, maybe the future holds something like "Mommy, why do I have blisters on my vagina???".. because Norton Anti-porno wouldn't allow children to learn about safe sex.

I'm sure that sites that promote comdom use to teens would have to go under .XXX. Those promoting abstenence and loving Jesus won't.

Depending whether or not the ICANN censorship board decides if the word "love" can possibly be considered obscene in certain "terminology" you may actually be right.

Yeah, that's what I've been wondering. Who the hell is going to be judge of what's adult? Lots of blogs out their with profane language, some with an occasional tit photo. What about Maxim magazine?

Seems like a nightmare to classify borderline sites.

There is no censorship involved yet, this is just another tld like .biz for now. You can put anything on .biz, just like you will be able to put anything on .xxx. Laws may change in the future, but as is, it will still be possible to run porn sites on .com domains.

The fuss is due to slippery slope arguments that creating .xxx is the first step to destroying the adult industry. 1 .xxx is created, 2. laws are passed to force adult sites to .xxx, 3. laws are passed forcing ISPs to block .xxx sites 4. we are all fucked...
