Server Problems

My host just moved me to a dedicated server, all my .cgi and .pl files work, all my SSI's work except the exec cmd ones. The perl programs that the exec cmd lines link to work when I directly activate them in my shell, but not by the SSI exec commands written in the html on the page. All file paths are the same and all my pages that require SSI end in .shtml. Anyone know what could be the problem?

try changing the exec cgi to

include virtual

Or if you'd rather do it the lazy way, ask your host to ellow exec cgi.

I had thought that might have been the problem too, but when talking to my host over the phone they said all their servers should have exec cmd enabled. I just found out to that while using FTP in DOS the "put" command brings the message "permission denied" but the "get" command as long with all others that I have tried so far work fine.

I am lost!

You're probably trying to "put" something into a directory that you don't have write permissions on.
