why ANYONE likes that show, i will never know. the acting fuckin BLOWS, the plot is predictable, the "drama" is over-played...just another stupid fuckin show that the american public fell for. (amoung other mindless shows like Deal or No Deal & Unanamous).

to be honest i dont watch hardly any tv at all. i've never even seen arrested developmemt.

the shows i DO like is "Rescue Me" (hasnt been on in a year though), The Sopranos and....thats about it really.

okay, it had potential at the start, but then the whole thing became far too magical. here's examples of stupid magical story lines:

the boy who can make things happen with his mind

the polar bear that might not actually exist

things happening to people, and then they didn't actually happen

those stupid magical numbers

the endless flashbacks about that girls background

the man who could walk again

...etc...

the story lines are stupid because they've incorporated so many 'magical' elements into the story, that anything could happen and it doesn't matter because then it could always be reversed by magic. there's no logical cause and effect to the story which is pointless to watch

basically, the story's lost all grounding in reality and that's why it's crap. if I wanted fantasy, I'll watch harry potter. I prefer stories grounded in realism.

most of it is already explained. LOST is more then just the TV show, the show concept is so thorough it extends to internet sites and shit like that.

Monster.com even has an ad for a job with Hanso Foundation (or dharma, i forget offhand which one)

if you're just watching the show, you're bound to be lost. But if you check the forums and the backup sites you'll learn a lot more about whats going on

I agree. Personally I think Lost is one of the best developed shows on TV. The writers really thought shit out and put things in place (the websites, silly job postings on monster etc) for people to be able to figure it out. The fan forums are chock full of theories and shit that people have dug up from various places all having to do with the show.

Genius concept imho, they literally thought of every detail for it. I can guarantee anyone watching who has ANY question at all about it, will get their answer in time.

LOST is a strange show.

For smart people, it keeps you thinking about the "big picture", giving clues to figure out what the island is all about.

Stupid people can follow the dumb people-storties and girls having babies and all that crap.

If you're not smart enough for the complex story of the Island itself, and too smart to care about the cheesy sub-stories, you're screwed and you'll hate it.
