Who here uses a tivo that is not dual tuner?

Is it weird not being able to watch live tv while your recording? Is this something you just get used to?

I'm thinking of returning mine so I can get a dual one but I'm lazy to drive to the store and carry it to my car.

So for the folks who have the single tuner where you cant watch tv while its recording, what do you do? Just stop watching live tv?

I have one like that ... they didn't have the dual tuners when i got it. most of the time the things i record are on while I'm not home or they are on a channel that plays them again later that night ..so I'll watch something and just set it to record the show i missed later that night. The feature i use the most is the pause live TV ... I can't live without that now ..i really don't record much ... if you want to record something while watching something else or record 2 things you can get a 2nd Tivo .. I know it sounds weird but my brother has one in his main TV room and one upstairs .. they are networked together so he can have the one upstairs record something and watch it on the TV downstairs later ...they'll share a menu ...works well

I would go for the cable networks DVR box (it has 3 tuners) but i just like the menu on the Tivo much better plus i have it already
