To sponsors with $150+ payout minimums, fuck you.

Seriously, what is this?
If I want to test traffic, I don't want to have to send you 5+ signups to get a cheque.

Pull down your defaults to something sane, and get more affiliates.

i think 5 joins is a decent fucking test. no?

id prefer all sponsors paid $500 as the minimum, would get rid of all the shitty affiliates, and some of the scammers. scamming $500 in joins is hard then $200

Sponsor programs are not banks. If I send 2 signups to a sponsor, I expect to get paid. I fullfilled my part of the bargain.

Forcing a webmaster to send them more traffic just to get monies owed is bullshit.

I tend to disagree, but tell me to shut up lol, I think from an admin point of view it is better to have some sort of minimum of at least 150 or 250, otherwise you are writing out cheques every 5 minutes or transferring funds every five minutes, i am suprised that there is not a higher minimum.

Whatever you say, jackass. You're saying you agree with sponsors holding your money. The amount doesn't matter... either way it's wrong for them to hold the money.

Ok, I'll bite. To use your knee-jerk response:
Come into the McDonald's. Buy a burger. I'll take your cash, and tell you you need to buy 4 more burgers before I give you anything.

You'd be wiriting your GFY post in your head before you were out of the shop.

It's not about "people not being able to send x amount of joins".
Let's say you decided to stop sending traffic to a sponsor (for whatever reason) and you've got $90 in your account. Why should you have to send more traffic just to get YOUR OWN money (money you've already earned)?

Its not holding money. I use to own a finance borker firm. The finance companys we used paid us on the 14th of every month, so if we signed up a client on the 15th of Feb, we wouldget paid for that client on the 14th of March, there would be no way they would go paying us everytime we settled a deal with them.

I won't tell you to shutup - but I will say, that's what payout periods are for - you only write cheques every X days - and you pay the people you owe.

I'm not saying some withholding is terrible, but 150+ is just a money making tactic.

Finally, most places charge for cheques or transfers - so if an affiliate elects to pay $2 for a $30 cheque, then so be it.

That's called withholding days or the duration of an invoice. It's got nothing to do with money being owed and a threshold of you deciding to pay them.

I can bet your company didn't have minimums before it decided to charge clients.

Ok, now i see where you are coming from, i did not see that in your post, your right, it should be all for that period, no matter what the amount is.

Agreed. Payout minimums need to be reasonable.

And if the sponsor does not pay you what you earned by the end of the fiscal year, then something wonky is going on.

If think that sponsors or billings that won't allow you to set a minumum or to group accounts (Epoch! ) a lot more annoying. You end up with 30$ cheques that are half eaten up by my bank's fees...

I hate that crap and it stops me from testing out alot of sponsors. Im tired of sending 50k hits to a sponsor and not even making their minimum payouts since their site converts like shit. Total scam!

P.S.

There is a popular sponsor here that while they don't have a high minimum payout if you shut your account down through them that money just "disappears".

I think minimum payout for a revshare should be $25 and for a PPS the minimum should be whatever the payout is for 1 signup.

If I do a test and go 1 for 5000 I have to pull my traffic and send it elsewhere. It's adding insult to injury to then not pay me for that one sale.

Minimum payout is also something I look at when reading a TOS before joining a new program. Ours are low and many people leave it that way. Many other people go raise it up, so as to avoid multiple fees on checks or wires which is also fine if thats an issue in your country/bank.

hey Einstein... i havent ever met a sponsor that wouldnt be willing to send you the check under $150 if you tell them you are closing your account and don't plan to ever use them again.

That's a) not the point, and
b) you close your account, then they get flow on traffic from your sites. Looks like they win both ways.

150 is nuts, if youre pushing a sponsor on the side make a few signups a month then 150 is nuts, every one has top 10 sponsors and a lot who make like a few a month
