WTF? Oceans 11...Behind the sceens.

For those of you who have this movie on DVD or if anybody else knows WTF is up with this.......

During the movie there is a sceen where they blow up a hotel. Basher is sitting in his hotel room watching it on the TV while it is going on out the window behind him.

At the end of the "Behind the Sceens" part of the DVD, they show the same sceen but they have taken out the original hotel and put in NY,NY.

This was obviously done on purpose but what I want to know is why on the hell they would do this after the September 11th shit. Was NY, NY the original hotel in the movie and they changed it prior to release or something?

Maybe it is me but seeing the New York skyline get blown to shit seems kinda uncool at this point.

What, it's ok to make fun of retarded people, but you can't blow up a building in a movie? I remember when men were men.

Maybe the DVD version of Oceans 11 was produced by Al Qaeda?

One of the most popular plays on Broadway (in New York) for the last year is a comedy about Adolf Hitler.

I am not sure exactly what these comments are trying to say. For this reason, I will respond with my cleverly concieved generic response of GFY.

LOL, damn newbies.

So basically what you are saying is that when you watch movies or anything else in life... you do not pay attention to everything that is going on?

The movie was a very bad remake of a classic, who saw the original with Sinatra, Martin, etc. ?

If you listen to the actor's commentary track on the DVD, it says that the hotel they did the CGI demolition of, was originally the NY, NY...but after Sept. 11 they changed it.

I just bought that DVD last night and heard them mention it.

Glad I could help. I don't make it a point to go through every track, but sometimes I listen to those tracks in the background while I'm doing something else. It's crazy the little things you pick up about film making, etc...

Sorry it could not come up to the first film.
The Rat Pack guys had more style, even though Pitt & Clooney are better actors.

All right Aaron ?

I haven't seen the movie yet but now I will -- how uncanny would it be to see NY, NY blow up in a movie... really the horror... they should have left that untouched in the movie -- fucking politically correct faggots.

I take it Charly won't be on your short list for cabinet members?

Since it has already been brought up I too think the original was the better movie.

You get upset cause a building explodes in a movie?

Because a few buildings fall in NY, its now "uncool" to film action movies there????

I heard someone was shot in NY, but I saw a movie that had a police shoot someone in NY... such disrespect.

I really think any city with violence shouldn't allow movies to be made there at all. No damn respect. Why not ban all films with violence, cause there is violence is real life.
Be a man, not a fucking pussy.
Don't cower at the 911 event forever.
Having NY buildings explode (in a movie) is a sign people are moving on - maybe you should as well.

I thought that it was a great movie...not to mention the fact that Brad Pitt looked absolutley incredible in those clothes that he was wearing. Did anyone else notice that he was eating something in virtually every scene of the movie?

How many famous actors could you count in the movie?
