I used to work for Transunion for 2 years.... Chris is correct in saying that the inquiry could have been a "promotional inquiry"
where they only had access to your personal information (name, ssn, address, etc.) without viewing your actual credit history.

It's true that inquiries lower your credit score, but NOT if it was only a promotional inquiry; those are not seen by anyone. It should say on your credit report whether the inquiry is promotional or not. If ClickCash actually DID check your full report, the only way to have that inquiry removed would be to obtain a letter from Clickcash saying that it was done in error, since we don't dispute inquires at Transunion.
(don't know about the other 2 credit bureaus though)

Companies only need a "permissible purpose" to check your file.
I know that employment is one of those permissible purposes, but to be honest I forgot if they have to have your signature on file or something like that....it's been a while since I last worked there....

DO NOT need your specific authorization, since they aren't viewing your credit. They only need your authorization for a
full disclosure.
