Who would live on a golf course?

I just drove my ball into the side of an $800k house on the 16 tee. I am sure it happens a couple of times a week at least if not more. Why would you want to live with that? Balls in the yard. People walking by all day long. I would pay more not to live on a golf course.

I know somebody who does. They put big nets up. Balls still get through. The back of his house is covered with holes and he has a huge bucket of balls, probably at least 300.

I would never. I'm the same as you. My golf game isn't exactly sparkeling. I have a wicked slice and I hit the ball pretty hard. I got this Nike driver, same as Tiger. Its pretty hard to control. 8 out of 10 shots go violently to the right and take out whatevers in its path. I've busted windows before.

But I'll tell ya, those 2 out of 10 times I hit it flush ... boo yeah. I get 300+ yard drives easy. Best drive I ever had with it ... about 360 or so.

those are usually vacation homes. the residents are usually only there a few days per month so it really doesnt bother people that much. of course broken windows are another story. im sure there are some people who live in them full time and could even be in a trouble spot so yea, i wouldnt want to live there.

I had an office once right next to a miniature golf course and some duchebag little kid nailed my window. Didn't break it but scared the piss out of me when it hit.

One of the ski chalets I own is going to back on to a golf course they are building. I'm looking forward to paying the mortgage off with used golf balls I find ;)

Not in this case. It is year around homes. One house had a brandnew swing set for kids. It was on the side of the house to protect the little buggers. Pathetic.

my grandmother lives on a golf course and she has a collection of golf balls that she has been collecting for as long as I can remember. When she die's she wants the balls to sold off and the money donated to a local charity. She has well over 10,000 balls i would not be suprised if it is pushing 50,000

We looked at a house on a golf course last week and it was a nice house, pool, great area for the kids to play and I ask the woman how many times a golf ball hits her house. She says "well, in the last 3.5 years, I've only had 2 windows broken. I've collected enough golf balls and sold them to pay for the windows!" Okay, that was not a selling point to me....then she said you can see on the neighbor's house where a ball hit, but you just stucko it then paint over. Just like it was nothing, I'm like I have to pay this much for a house that gets hit with golf balls? No thanks...

I am looking at getting a place on a golf course, it already is all netted up and I dig the idea of being able to go out and play there whenever I want pretty much.

I almost bought on a golf course... Decided to stay in Suburbia though for those reasons... plus driving through guard gates if you have a party or something is a nightmare.

I was almost rooked into a golf course condo. Seen a ball bounce 30 feet into the air after it hit the parking lot area. No thanks.

so 10k to 50k golf balls landed in her yard. That just seems so hard to live with. Cool she can make some cash off of it but hardly seems worth ity to me.

lol

here you need $10 mil + to live on a golf course. A broken window for those people is like picking up a carton of milk at the store.

same story as me, it was very tempting but the negatives were way to much for me.
