there is a huge difference between ILLEGAL immigrants and LEGAL immigrants.

mexicans will always do the crappy jobs we don't want to do but there is no reason why we need to hire ILLEGAL aliens rather than LEGAL ones.

the immigrants have no interest in any culture except theirs, and have no need to ever learn english . . they will be spoon feed and babied until they die or we go broke . . the only issue illigals and imigrants face is the preditory behavoiurs from their peers . .

I agree with you Juicy, let the Mexicans in. In fact, with global economy becoming more relevant every day, America and Mexico will combine one day imho. Imagine the natural resources we could harvest. :)

As far as the labor comment though.... the farmers that employ the illegals basically run sweatshop labor because the Mexicans have no where to turn. Its either work for small wages or go back home.

So it not a matter of 'they do the jobs Americans wont', thats a fallacy. Americans wont work for $4.00 an hour, no matter what the job entails.

Africa is closest to Europe and I think there are lots of African immigrants in Europe like in France and so on. I'm not up on European events, but aren't there similar problems over there? The other reason I suppose would be immigration policy and perceived or real opportunity. America is known the world over for being a melting pot with a larger base of all ethnicities, so not only are foreigners more likely to be familiar with America, but also more comfortable living there. People that I know that have travelled abroad tell me that Asian nations envy the West, primarily America.

When I lived in California, my Mexican lawn guy was $85 a month, and he was Mexican. I live in Toronto now and pay someone $300 a month.

Slightly simplistic, but why not raise the fines and add serious jail time for people and companies that hire illegals and pay them under the table? Spend more money on chasing down the US citizens who are encouraging the problem since you can charge them.

If you take away their source of income the illegals won't have as much reason to come north. (note that I said as much)
