Any of you affiliate programs use 'Traphica'???

Hello!

I'm reviewing the Traphica affiliate management system for a group of paysites and I'm wondering if any of you affiliate programs use or have used it. If so, how about some feedback? Do you know of any other good and relatively off the shelf solutions?

their site is http://www.traphica.com

Thanks!!!

Brad

Yeah it looks really cool.. if it's all that it says it is then it'll be just as functional as what all the 'BIG' programs are using. It just makes sense to buy something rather then have it created when it's THAT massive of a product.

I just hope someone can come up with some other suggestions so that I can shop their product against competition.

Brad
brad, i know of a big company using them who are not happy, have all kinds of bugs....

clickman looks great too, but x-3 is 2k less in cost, and they plan to upgrade it to fully integrate with the processors here in 3 weeks i believe to grab your rebill stats etc, o its *all* on your server, they dont have to log into anywhere else, could be interesting, even if you elect not to use this feature..

(clickman does not intend to integrate they told me)

SoulCash has been running the X3 script for the last year. A few times chron stopped on the box and Mike had it back up and running within minutes.

CastleComm (X3) are top notch guys that have been around forever. Give them a shout (410) 296-5970 (ext. 11)

Thanks everyone!

I'm going to give the X3 guys a call...

Hey if SoulCash uses it, it's got to be good enough for the upcoming SinBucks program

Never used traphica, but Proxy Guard (who they are apparently partnered with) is definitely worth checking out if you are running a clickthru program.

I was looking at Proxy Guard just last week - that does look like a cool piece of software for running per click programs!

Kmanrox (Keith G.),

Just because you cannot afford Traphica, you came out here and spread unfounded spiteful rumours about us, doesn?t that strike you as a bit unethical???!

If you are man enough to stand by your statement, name the company who you claim is not happy with our product, and the so-called all kinds of bugs here!!!

And just to prove that I wasn?t making up the story of KMANROX?s inability to afford our product, here is one of the emails KMANROX sent to us:

Hi Guys,
I too have heard mixed comments about the Traphica program (especially in regards to support). I can't comment on which of my clients I have heard it from......but I would definitely research your options.

Stevie,

I know what you mean becuase you want Traphica to support ccbucks.

We support our clients well, but we do not and will not support ccbucks. Traphica won't help you to solve ccbuck's stupid problem.

good luck with ccbucks !

Well, that really wasn't the "support problems" I was referring to........But yes since you decided to bring it up, I did have my tech call you with a support issue. He was met by less then professional conversation which included profanity and disrespect. In an industry built upon and driven by relationships it is important to think before you verbally assault people.....not real great for business......which is why we're all here.

Gee Traphica, all Kmans' email proves is that he's smart enough to ask for a deal, something that most decent business people do.

As for your solving any CCBucks problems? I don't think so. Considering the first I've heard of you, and the first I've heard of any so called problems, I'd say you get your motherfucking foot out of your mouth and spend your time building up a support department, all the while working on your attitude.

It's interesting what you can learn about people (and their businesses) by watching how they comport themselves on the boards.

traphica,

pardon me if that was my nice way of saying 'you're program is too overpriced'.... especially considering all of the NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I have gotten on my ICQ from people using Traphica.com software....

we are going with a program that costs just as much as your software, has more features, has been proven with BIG sponsors, and the owners actually speak english, causing no miscommunication about our needs.

you're phone call today, did not make sense, something to the effect of 'you motha fucka, i want know why you say bad on go fuck yo-self! what you problem? i speak with lawyer, you make me sound bad, this is not true, you are bad, i think you, you, make revis-eeon, now!'

i posted what i heard from clients of yours. i have been researching this topic for quite some time now, quite thoroughly...

but you wish to bring the topic back up, and it backfires.... if you wish to continue letting the world know of your weaknesses, pls, do post again, then I will be more than happy to accomodate, and we can start threads on porncity, AWI, AWW, Ynot, Netpond, netsurprise, xbiz, etc... by all means... =)

good day

Let me put it to you like this. And you read real slowly now, ok?

I will be investigating ways to make sure your unsupported, client insulting company is not compatible with ours. Get it? And I'll also go talk to the other fine folks I know and see if they won't do the same thing.

Why did we call you?

Because one of OUR clients, who is also one of YOUR clients, called you and all he got was a FUCK OFF from YOU, more times than once. In turn, we were asked to see if perhaps you'd be less offensive if someone else called on their behalf, since obviously you don't want to deal with the people that actually PAY YOUR SORRY ASS.

Furthermore, if you ever tell one of my techs to fuck off again, I'll hunt your sorry little ass down and make it sorrier. You get that?

Anyone's who's STUPID enough to deal with YOU after reading all this dribble deserves what they get, which will be negative and beyond stupid, I'm SURE.

Not speaking English isn't an excuse here either, not with the words you seem to know.

I have also heard of the traphical program. I have heard about the lack of support, and the lacks attitude of the owner, Steven. From what I can gather they are a very messy operation. I have heard of holes in their program that could, with some decent effort, have holes in their software that could be exploited/hacked... This is not very good.

But then again, this is just my two cents.

:^)

Boy, shit really hit the fan today didn't it. LOL

In as much as I'm likely to often say that there is a lot of useless babble and whining on GFY this is one of those rare moments that makes all of my lurking and the little bit of posting that I do worthwhile.

I might post a lot of short quips or responses to threads but I rarely ever start threads. Here is an example of a thread that I started with a legitimate question... and I got more information then I ever could have hoped for! Thanks everyone.

Based on some of the techincal abilities of Traphica as I understand them from the demo, website and conversations that I have had it appears that it is more or less a competent product. It does, however, need some more development to make it completely functional for someone like me who is looking to launch a fully integrated RECURRING sponsorship program.

All of that said, now to the most important thing that I've learned. The owner/developer has an awful temper and can be downright belligerant (spelling?). I would never be a client of someone who handles themselves as I've seen here. The biggest pleasure of owning my own business is that I can pick and choose my relationships. You could give the software away for free and I would probably just pass on principle... well, probably...

Traphica, the best and most respectible thing you could do is just give up right here in the thread and apologize. You might be surprised how forgiving people can be when you just straight-up take responsibility. Personal emails to everyone that you have offended wouldn't be a bad idea either.

My other advice? Take this to heart... I wouldn't doubt that you're a brilliant programmer. I suspect you are profoundly good at what you do. However, you are not effective at the following: sales, support, or operations. I suspect your product is probably strong enough to stand on it's own and bring in some substantial revenue. Beyond turning over a new leaf with your attitude and communications skill set, I would recommend that you HIRE somebody to run your business for you whilst you stay completely behind the scenes doing what you do best - programming.

I'm not bashing you... I'm honestly just trying to be helpful. We're all great at some things while being mediocre or poor at others. Obviously you can program but your interpersonal skills, patience, respect for others... all that stuff is lacking. I wonder where your sense of entitlement comes from?

That's maybe my two dollars, not two cents. It all comes down to this: if you want to be successful you have to humble yourself, check your ego at the door and always remember it's about the customer.

Thanks again for everyone's energy and advice on the subject. Question answered!!

Cheers,

Brad

Advice taken, SinEmpire. I do apologize for some of my choices of words earlier. Regardless of the circumstances, I shouldn?t have exploded like that. For those whose feelings were hurt as a result, I?m sorry.

I do hope though, people can be truly honest and do not put spin on things in here. Traphica was developed by a team of hard-working people and It really hurts me to see untruthful/inaccurate statements about it. But again, I still should have controlled my temper better.

Thanks for the advice!

That is funky

And yes, i'd be inclined to go along with the general opinion of this thread. I would certainly not want to deal with someone like Traphica.

I do hope though, people can be truly honest and do not put spin on things in here. Traphica was developed by a team of hard-working people and It really hurts me to see untruthful/inaccurate statements about it. But again, I still should have controlled my temper better.

Thanks for the advice!

You need to find a way to control your temper Charles. You have a nasty habit of poppin into threads which you really can't contribute to at all, and actin like you're the fuckin man.

Just so ya know. =) And, no, I haven't heard anything negative or positive about Traphica first hand...

But, you're a moron traphica, and that was a funny convo k-man... There's my input.
