So I decided to change things up a bit. Curious as to what the opinion is on my review site design.

It's clean and simple, but I think you need a little variation in fonts and font-size.

Don't you want to add some pics? At least one or so per site you review. Pics can say more then 1000 words.

Looks like shit. Page is WAY to verbose. Nobody is going to read all that. You can still maintain great keyword density with just 1/2 the text.

Hi there,

The site looks pretty good. I like the white/blue/heaven theme, good stuff.

Maybe some thumbnails of the websites would be good; start page. Also maybe some free pictures? just a thought.

Remember, people generally read from left to right, top to bottom, big to small. The code looks pretty good too. Got your P tags I there. Make sure you keep to the h1 h2 h3 and p tags. Maybe move over from font tags to DIV tags with style sheet?

Thumbs would be great though, some bigger ones.

Very good... something in my taste... but a bit not suitable for "adult" site and also i think you should compress it for faster loading (111kb is too big )(from the other hand it would be a little profanation to do that with such nice picture ;) )

You've been at this for awhile, wtf are you doing jerking off with this for so long? I'm sure you have positive cashflow, so why can't you send this out and get your templates and text formatting designed already?

The logo in your sig makes a better brand. Use it.

The classic version of your site was more relevant. The halo and winged angel doesn't mean much nor is it complimentary to the type of business you are promoting.

Spend the money and get it done. This should be the least of your problems.

Too much white space. I would suggest using another color for the extra space on the side.

The font is fine though. Although, your logo should be bigger and more.. hmm "loud" , per se.

The girl in the header doesn't really fit the site's intent (links, I suppose?).

Not bad. Some positive/some harsh. I am planning on adding pics to coincide with the text. This 2257 scares the shit out of me but I am trying to find alot of softcore samples.

As far as why I don't get a designer. I have tried four times to work with designers and they never seem to achieve what I like. I might be too picky but I can't change that.

People don't like to read. That's a fact when it comes to the Internet. Your site seems like it has too much text and since people won't read it - they won't know what it's about.

I just spent about a month designing my swing club reviews site. It's similiar in concept to yours. It has a list of clubs categorized by cities that have ratings and reviews. Check it out and see how I did that. I can share my code with you in exchange for some traffic or something like that. The site is:

i'm not here to blow sunshine up peoples asses. numbers and emotions don't mix well. get it designed by professionals who can see beyond what you're currently incapable of.

I'll take it into consideration. I get tired of designs often and change things up. I got some positive feedback whihc is good. Now I am going to work on getting more reviews up and samples. So what sites do you own/work with Gent?
