Tap water or bottled water?

We all probably drink a bit of both, but what do you drink more of? When you're at home do you drink tap water or do you stock up on bottled water?

Lots of companies making huge money on water. Bottled air is next, I guess. Is most of the bottled water hoopla just a huge marketing ploy or the real deal?

Bottled. Even though our water supply is from the lake that's fed by mountain streams, there's some "bad" minerals and crap in it. Our water tests have failed the last few times

The only tap water I have tasted in the country that seems ok to drink is Chicago's tap.

Personally I buy distilled.

haha, and what do you think is in that bottled water? People who buy bottled water to avoid drinking well water are idiots. And I'd never drink city water. The government puts mind control substances in it. So then bottled water is OK.

I get strictly well water, although I prefer chlorinated, flouridated city water.

Also good is sea water: You can never get enough, and it causes hallucinations and death.

I drink Tap water. Tap water is cleaner than bottled water in the U.S. - And that is a fact. The government controls tap water quality and has very strict guidelines. Bottled water is controlled by the FDA, which has practically no guidlines at all. And in fact most bottled water is in the States is made in places like Ohio/Pennsylvania and pulled from the same source tap water is - just ran through a different process. Then thrown into a pretty package to sell. As well as the fact bottled water contains no flouide, among many other reasons why tap water is far superiour.

Also, bottled water is more expensive than gasoline. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Bottled.

The tap is absolutely disgusting here. Only place I can think of with worse water was my college town that had so much rust/iron in it that your sink could be brown in a few months.

my gf drinks bottled all the time, but tap too cause Im too lazy to buy bottled, plus I hate lifting 10 crates of bottled water and think its nonsense. Weve got perfect water in Holland, low on everything.

Britta is nice true, my capp machine has a built in one.

I also drink mainly tap water now. For years I was drinking bottled water. Besides the cost and just having to constantly carry containers of water around, I've read that tap water is usually cleaner. Mind you, the tap water here tastes just fine and if it didn't I would still be on bottled. I have been to places where the tap water tastes weird. The best water is water that's tastless, I think.

Tap water has greater regulations on it I think. I've even read that some bottled water is just tap water that's been bottled. Are there really that many places on earth now where you're going to find purely clean water? I doubt it.

some people would argue that floride in the water is not a good thing. i drink both. i drink tap filtered through the brita and when its not cold enough or empty, bottled. if you buy bottles in singles, its a total rip off but the 30 bottle boxes will only cost you 16 cents a piece. i spend way more on gas in a week.
