<rant>Great start to the day!!</rant>

So many great things have happened, and have yet to happen today.

I have for months been unofficially planning today as my serious "quit smoking" day. I chain smoked my way through about 2 packs yester day, my norm, and have since stroke of midnight last night been without a cigarette. I plan on a cold turkey attempt, no drugs or substitutes, but have allowed myself drinking nights for at least the first 3 months ( to be evaluated thereafter).

I was quite honestly freaking out about doing this, but a serious of good omens followed to let me know I was headed in the right direction.

A. I've been working a new promotion method I have little experience with, on a very famous, but albeit new to me affiliate program.... for a few months, my promotions we're having little affect. Last night, I check stats... lo and behold a new conversion from the night before. On top of that, had i payed closer attention, my efforts had been shown already in 2 DVD sells now tracked through the standard comission structure. The new sites might be worth putting some attention into after all.

B. A mainstream company picked me up this past week as an art director, with a start salary nice enough to relieve some stress off my back for quite some.

B1. Said company as signing bonus got me a new dual monitor setup which has made my workload much easier to deal with. I was in disbelieft until they showed up, and I unpacked them today...
B2. A new laptop is the next perk that I should be recieving. I am still in state of shock.
B3. They have put me on a non-compete, but non exclusive contract... translation... no more real estate or related clients for me, but anything else, they have no quims about.
B4. Office on location... and office from home... as long as my projects keep coming in the way they have been since we started, they dont care where I work from... which is going to allow me more time to finish up my art and business law degrees.

With this much in my corner... I am really going to kick my own ass if I dont make quitting smoke for me TODAY work...

Im planning a trip to Europe with the savings for me, my love Beth, and my lil Bro in the coming months with my savings.
