Why do dating ads go to a generic "join now" pages?
I mean, I see various dating sites with "This girl is in your area" type of ads all over the place, and you see hot chicks from time to time in the pics.
Naturally, someone would want to see more of that hot chick.. so they click. What do they get? A generic "join now" page. Wouldn't it make sense to see more of that girl? Or get some info on her? or something of that nature? Something that allures you to join rather than just some text... or pics of other girls that you didn't want to see? It seems pretty straight forward to me. Girl catches your interest. You want more. You click, you get... something else. You leave. Sure, they may be fake profiles, they might not be... either which way, they're in the system. Why can't you push more of that profile at someone when they click on that profile's link? Not everything, just enough to show that the profile is "sudo real" and get them to join? |
