I'm pissed... My Parrot flew away or sold? - GoFuckYourself.com

I'm going fuckin mad now. I bought a beautiful Jardine parrot in 2002 & paid like 2000.00 CAD for it. Last year in September I left for south africa for 8 months. Before I left I sub leased my appartment to a girl & she said she would take care of the bird until I came back.

However she never kept her promise & told me that she gave the bird to a guy & he would take care of it, she told me this on the phone when I was in South Africa. She told me dont worry the bird is fine & you will get it when you come back. So, today I went and see the guy that was taking care of my bird & he told me your bird flew away 2 months after I had it, NOW you could imagine how I was feeling at this time, pissed & hurt. I will be meeting the guy again today in about 1 hour with the bitch that gave him the bird without my permission.

I called the police & they cant do nothing, they say its not criminal & need to bring it to a small courts & settle it there. Anyone as any idea & tips what I could do & say while im in court? Its not really the value of the bird that bothers me, its all about those 3 years I had him & the memories.

The girl will be held responsible. It was in her care and she is required by law to return it and or take all responsibilities for it in the event something happens. Aint much more to it.

When taking on a bird, it can be a major pain.

Your lucky he didn't pull out all his feathers and die, leaving a bird isn't something that you should do. I'am wondering why you didn't take him with you?

Yepp, I feel bad to leave him alone. I could not take it with me because the airline I was flying with would not allow it. Anyways, I dont think I will see it again, I just came back from the guy who took it & called the cops. I cant really do anything about it on the police side of it. I have a feeling that they still have the bird & they are not telling the whole truth because the father said that the bird flew away after 2 months & today is son said that it flew away after 2 days only, hm? someone is lying. I will try to take this to small claims court & see what I could do on that side.
