Hell, if they do the right thing with just $200k of that money they won't have to worry too much.
It's nice that they are taking care of the immediate family and friends though. As long as they stick to that limit they should be fine. |

I'd probably do the same..when you didn't have it in the first place it's easy to blow it
|
looks like they are having fun..

Atleast they're using the money to help their friends and family and hooking them up with gifts :)

and that's actually what happens with a typical lotto winner, most of them end up declaring bankruptcy within a few years....
|
idiots...they'll be bankrupt in no time
|
I think i'd spend half of that on setting up my immediate family but it looks like they're going to end up with nothing

Berkshire Hathaway to start... Average annual gain 1965-2005 21.5% - vs. S&P 500 10.3% for the same period.

What an idiot. If I won the lottery I would spend nothing on friends or relative, I would spend very modestly and invest everything. Friends and relatives can take care of themselves.
|
its sad most of them wind up worse off then when they started.
|
I don't give much of anything to friends. Family is a different thing all together. If they manage to cut things off ( 4 m, they'll be fine. Doubt they will though.

there are just some people who should not be allowed to have money
