:mad This is why Epassporte sucks ass.

I've avoided signing up for this service because I've never really cared for the way they do some things. I've also had problems with Epoch in the past and the relation of the two companies was another reason for me to avoid them.

Well.....Here I sit trying to pay Kandah for a content package so I signed up for an epassporte account and loaded it with $175.00. They took their $10 loading fee and then when I attempted my transfer, I received the following message:

"You cannot transfer funds to another account if your account is less than 3 days old."

So....I promptly got on the phone with Epassporte and contacted one of their reps on ICQ. The rep on ICQ told me it was not possible to over ride this but the rep on the phone said it was. She put me on hold. When she returned, she informed me that the country where the money was being sent (Sweden) was considered a high risk county and because of that, I would not be able to make the transfer at all.

At this point I asked for a full refund to my card including their $10 load fee. I was told they would not refund the load fee but that I could set up a bank transfer for my remaining balance.

WTF kind of bullshit is that? Yeah, it's only 10 bucks but how many other people have you fucked out of load fees for a service that can not be used? Why is there nothing in your terms that mentions a 3 day wait for this service and since when is Sweden considered a high risk country?

So I asked for a supervisor. I get put on hold for several more minutes then the same rep comes back and tells me that in fact, Sweden is not a high risk country but that there is a glitch in their system that is not allowing peer to peer transfers and that she will need to submit a tech ticket to have it looked into.

That's fine and all but what does any of that have to do with the $10 load fee or me speaking to a supervisor?

So, here I sit with Epassporte tying up my money and keeping 10 bucks for a service that doesn't fucking work.

Now, I still want to do this deal so if any of you have paypal and will take a paypal payment from me then pay Kandah with epassporte, I would appreciate it. I will not be paying his PayPal directly because that's a great way for me to get my own PayPal shut down.

They'll take two more bucks if you move it to a USA bank account. And, to be the bearer of even more bad news, instead of the 3-4 days they claim for the transfer of funds to be completed, it's taking most of us 8-10 days for it to show up in our accounts.

While I love ePassporte, they have a horrible reputation for customer service, despite the best efforts of Keyzer. Calling for help is laughable at best.

If they could not do peer-to-peer transactions I think we'd be reading about this on all the boards. Sweden being a high-risk country would be surprising, as not even the card associations consider that country high risk.

She retracted the high risk statement. She also finally transferred me to a supervisor who told me that it was a system glitch that was affecting SOME accounts and that they had been dealing with it for about 4 days.

Keyser says the 3 day thing is a new rule to prevent fraud.....That's understandable but why is it not mentioned in their TOS? Oh yeah...Because they suck.

I guess it depends on the type of business you're doing then. I've held off on getting an epass account all this time, have always been able to work around it just fine.

Maybe one day, when threads like this haven't popped up in some time.

I tried to signup to get a personal account, got your emails etc, they said to verify a small deposit to my bank yada yada... no deposit was ever made. So no way to verify, sat on hold waiting for support for like 30 minutes, then just said screw it.

From their account signup page:

"Choose a Personal account to shop online or around the corner. You can obtain a Virtual Visa for anonymous online shopping within minutes! You can even send money to any other ePassporte cardholder instantly anywhere!"

business could be so much better if youd just let it....it just boggles the mind on why Customer Service isnt focused on, and simply just telling the truth and not witholding any of it.

I'll just leave it at that :P

I have found their service to be a little below par myself.

I have only received payments, so sending them has not been a problem for me. Regardless, the length of time it took for me to sign up, verify my credit card and verify my account for withdrawals was significantly longer than I liked. I have internet banking and can see all pending transactions for my account.

Also, once I had finally verified my account, it took about 7 working days for the money just to show as "pending" in my bank account.

I bank with Wells Fargo, and generally any pending transactions I have appear very promptly, but not with epassporte, so I am disappointed with their service on the whole.

Keyser! Tell whomever's in charge of the Epass website to get off their ass and UPDATE THE TOS!

Absolutely.

Keyser has been stellar in his representation of this company, but it's obvious that he can only do so much. Some of the phone support people over there need to shape up, as does the person or persons in charge of keeping the information on their website current.

Shouldn't have to when their site says it's not required. I'm in the middle of a business deal with a content provider who doesn't have a decent way to accept payments.

Seems that everybody is running their businesses half assed these days.

Nah, then it will probably be changed to 3 business days.

Oh well, at least Keyser is trying to be helpful and that is much appreciated.

Keyser I would put a second card on my personal account but I couldnt stand going through phoning the bank again.

Business account number 1 is my US company and I am waiting for Wellsfargo to set up so I can do a wire to you guys....because you wont accept a wire or credit card or anything form anywhere except mny Wells Fargo account

Business account number 2 is my Hong Kong company and wired the $100 asked for and despite it not being to accept paymants on the site (coming) and just being used to pay for work done it cant be activated until site up.

I like your product and I want to use it...... you just make it so damn hard to get anything done.

So I have a personal card thats needs a second credit card added which u make so difficult......hell, let me load on it for $50 and freeze the $50 or something rather than phoning banks to find I have a 13 cent pending charge or whatever.

1st business account I can understand but why delay second when you have my wire and account is not for use on site. Frankly that one is the real winner.

Well, I guess when you have as many European clients as I do it becomes a necessary evil.
