Thanks for your frank explanation of what passes for a professional attitude with some models. The good model gives her best on every job, and I tend to try to work with those. You probably wouldn't have made it through my interview process.

The honest reason you do not sell to magazines is you cannot. Because you could get your instant money from the Internet and the big money from the magazines. Yes with some you have to wait, but others pay on acceptance. BL are very slow in using and paying but we can afford to wait. Any way as we said, the Internet now pays the instant money, the magazines are now the extra.

I was not criticising the girl or your photography but the fact that you chose that picture as a sample of your work. If you do not read anything into the girls eyes/thoughts the users of porn do. Webmasters beware of "blank" looks from girls. She can have a posse of guys in her, but if she looks vacant it will not pull in the members.

Think about it folks. This guy is criticising the editor of the top magazine in it's field. He has edited that magazine since it started. 10 years ago. Who knows more, him or Unseen?

And please stop thinking of these girls like your daughters, it's sad. Some girls are only to happy to pose with a guy, they are not virgins. So if she is licking out some girl thats fine, but if she is having sex with a guy that makes her a slut. Not in my eyes that is natural, what you think is alright is bi-sexual and not natural. The Girl you are shooting will really make or break your pics.

One of the main reasons my sets sold so well was I ALWAYS pushed the limits of what I could do - and managed to maintain a smile thru it all
I was voted favourite girl of all time by the BIGGEST magazine (not just porn but mainstream too) in Oz - because I always thought like a reader and gave 110% of what I thought they would like to see.

As a phtographer I have carried the same attitude over into my pics- and NOTHING irks me more than when my partner sends me a model who is really 'limp' and I have to position her for every shot.


I've never posed for a shoot under the influence of alcohol or drugs - for one thing it looks terrible - and secondly if a girl needs any substances to help 'get her through' a shoot - then she is in the wrong industry and shouldn't be doing the pics. If any girls turn up at my door like that I send them home - they don't get over the first step.

Too many girl out there think that they are gonna become the next claudia schiffer beacuse they are 'modelling' for pics. I won't shoot girls with a prima donna attitude - this is porn , if they want to be on the cover of vogue they can go thru an agency. The name of this game is to have a much fun as you can- enjoy yourself and at the end of the day when you get your pay it's all just a bonus.

I've seen the mode ns and Unseens sites - and I've been present at one of Aaron's shoots. There is a very light hearted yet professional air - and it shows thru in his sets. The girls look genuinely pleased to be shot.

Unseen - great to see someone has an interest in pics other than porn. - Nice shot too!
I carry my camera with me everywhere I go - I never leave home wihtout it.. I couldn't bear the thought of missing a beautiful sunset or a dramatic event.

Did you catch that part Charly? I think part of it has to do with the fact that the models around here do not feel as though they are required to suck us off after the shoot as you have bragged about the models you work with.

My photo shoots are fun. The girls are there for the fun of it as well as the money. Like you, I have no time for the gal whose reason for being there has more to do with her own agenda than mine. That agenda frequently revolves around her career (not my concern) or getting some drug $ or whatever. By now, I've developed radar for the girl who's the wrong type for what I do.

The proof that the girls are there for fun as well as money is that almost always they'll accept an invitation to dinner (I hate eating alone) when they could easily beg off with a good sounding excuse ("I have a class" or "I have a date" or "I'm going to the movies with my sister"). When dinner is over, they go their way and I go mine. It's NOT a date! It's just social.

Thanks for the compliment on my pic. I know that no single girl is going to please everybody. I offered it rather as proof that you don't need Nikon D1 to take a technically good web photo, and since it was better than the one Charly put up, naturally he had to attempt to find fault with it in some other regard.

Not to take anything away from your comment, but I'm aware of that. My sets include 25 pics in two sizes. That size and a size that's about 25% smaller in area (and hence K-size).

Also, it's easier to take a photo down in size than to make it bigger while retaining some semblance of quality. Any webmaster or TGP poster who has no clue how to quickly and easily resize or reduce the quality of photos in a controlled manner to reduce file size doesn't belong in the biz.

Oops! I misspoke. I meant to say that the second size is 25% as big, not 25% smaller, which is a whole different story.

No shit huh, when dealing in content I always want the biggest possible, shit you say your pics come in 2 sizes thats more than some people do ya know... glad you offer the big ones fpr guys like me who care more about quality then quantity.

Also yeah if someone cant pop open a program and resize something to fit what ya need definitely wrong biz hehehe...

Since no one knows me here....I'll throw in my :2 cents: . As a total unknown to both content providers in question (sounds kinda legal talk like?), I have to say that if someone can maintain themselves on a message board, in a semi-professional way, while being insulted...I would trust them with my credit card number. If they couldn't handle a little heat, what are they going to do when I have a customer service problem????

Think about it: content providers (and sponsors too) have a huge audience here....act like an ass-- and every webmaster, gallery builder, tgp owner that reads those messages is gonna think twice about dealing with them. (Personally someone who brags about everything they have done shows everyone in the room their insecure-- we either already know your hot shit, or it doesn't do you any good to brag).

Lets face it, both of you guys have different styles and tastes. Based on what I've heard, I know who will get my business.

Unfortunately we cannot be as selective as some shooters.
The right girl will sell a magazine or convert traffic into members.
Editors can pay an extra $600 for the right on the Front Cover and Centrefold. Put a picture of a special girl on your website front page, tour and watch the coversions rise.

We can not be so picky with girls, if a stunning girl walks in who sells like Cindy Crawford and an attitude, we bite the bullet and shoot her. Have to some of thse girls are worth $50K or more they sell mags, convert traffic and they know it.

They have been stunning since they were 10 years old and everyone tells them so. They get hit on in bars by every guy. All this sometimes gives her a force sense of worth, but as professional photographers we get on with our job and turn her into a "sex kitten" for our clients

Here's a few of girls we have to put up with their attitude. So long as you do not see it in the picture it's fine, that's our job.

These kind girls do not grow on trees, they're good and worth a few hours of "attitude". Would be great if we could choose to shoot a girl on her attitude, unfortunately how she sells is what matters. Like photographers, you want to buy from a mate? Give your buddy a camera. Want a site or magazine that sells? Choose images based on what they are and not the guy that sells them.

So, what you are saying is that you are not as successful as you try to appear. Basically you are forced to deal with shitty attitudes so you can buy diapers for the baby, gigolos for the wife, and Viagra and Depends for yourself.

As for the pics you posted. The first girl shows bad attitude, the 2nd girl is not cute enough to warrant shooting her if she has an attitude issue, and the 3rd girl is Fletch's girlfriend. She might be the exception to the rule in this case but I can only assume that you posted the pic which shows the least amount of attitude in it so she is most likely the biggest bitch of them all.

I guess you can't read, Charly. I never said anything about thinking of these girls as my daughters, but I suppose an illiterate sitting there with a dictionary might piece the sentence together in that mistaken way.

I did say one reason I don't shoot b/g hard-core is that I don't think my daughter would accept that. That is not "thinking of these girls like your daughters."

What I said about the change in perception is something I have OBSERVED. I've observed it in threads on this board: that girls who do boys are not respected the same as the girls who stick to solo and g/g modeling. That they are thought of (by many, not all, of course) as sluts. That "I love looking at them but I wouldn't want one for a wife or girlfriend."

That's all I said. It isn't my attitude, it's an attitude I've observed, and it's a common attitude. My only attitude is that I have a duty to inform, so that's what I tell girls who seem to be ready to graduate from solo and g/g into b/g.
