Front end programming
Ok so I recently started working in the industry and have a bit of a side project happening it was suggested here might be the best place to ask for help, the actual system is to be used to record vision from race cars
I'm trying to streamline a process currently and trying to make it idiot proof Video is recorded by a portable media player in *.asf format on an SD card, now the video file has to be converted and burnt to DVD, this is easy enough to do normally. The problem is the volume of these cards that have to be processed the solution I am after is: 1. Card removed from media player 2. Card inserted into card reader attached to PC 3. PC detects media card tranfers data from the card to the PC and then clears the card 4. PC prompts the user for a name and saves the file under that name with a time ie JohnSmith1532.asf 5. PC then converts the file to DVD format 6. PC burns a DVD with two tracks track one is a pre recorded file that never changes and track two is the file that came from the card. (no menu system) So how hard is it to make a front end terminal type program that can handle doing this and make it virtually idiot proof ? |
