Personally I like the new version of MSN. 8 Beta. It allows you to send offline messages, it has a search contact list function, it has an incredible file-sharing capability, it is an extremely powerful program. I think it will be the next icq.

Gtalk is using the jabber protocol so it will probably grow.
Miranda and Trillian is also supporting it. :)

I don't get when people say this. They basically all do the same thing.

i use mainly AIM, have MSN, ICQ, and IRC

Validus 04-23-2006 10:54 AM

Their support was copy/paste junk! Useless support, atleast when I contact support...

SmokeyTheBear 04-23-2006 11:12 AM

everytime icq wont add new people to your list or search people its usually because the icq list is to big. try adding them to a different catgeory than general

potter 04-30-2006 02:21 AM

icq will always be the industry standard

Manowar 04-30-2006 02:27 AM

that sucks

CaptainWolfy 04-30-2006 03:12 AM

ICQ just working fine,here:)!

Pornwolf 04-30-2006 03:37 AM

Skype is my favorite so far. Yahoo has really come a long way but Skype is much cooler. Yahoo just played a game of catchup to them with the new features.

For some reason ICQ has been using up 99% of my system resources at random times during the day. I don't know what's going on but that's definitely not a good thing. I even checked to see if it's some kind of trojan doing something strange but there's no network activity. Wierd shit.

woj 04-30-2006 03:39 AM

I must say icq has been working quite smoothly for me, very few problems/outtages/etc over the past few years I've been using it, I really don't see any reason to switch...

damonx 04-30-2006 03:42 AM

i use icq and msn via trillian
