steer clear of dialtone internet, who recently was purchased by interland i do believe. i had extremely bad experiences with them.

I had some trouble with my host last week and had to move my shit overnight, Techie had me online and with ftp acceess THAT NIGHT.

Prohosters has had virtually no downtime with thier dedicated servers Tech support by far is the fastest and best I have seen.

Talk to the guys on this board that has dedicated servers with prohosters you'll get good responses I'm sure.

Look all hosts are human, and all servers are just machines. Shit eventually happens to everyone, and that's a fact. Whats important is if your host is there for you, and handles these problems (if and when they happen) in a professional and timely manner. Do you really think any host want's to go down, or have even have the tiniest problem??...I think not.

Now with that being said, I have to say I love the guys at Techie Media also. I have 2 dedicateds with them, and I can say they have taken excellent care of everything I've ever needed. Maybe they like me because I'am a women, but they sure do take care of me. Big Kiss to Jim and the gang over there :winkwink:

HOLY CHRIST!!! YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY! Except for the isprime part (I wouldn't know cause I have never been with isprime) But, you are right on the fucking nail about iicinternet.com. They are the WORST, and I do mean WORST hosting company out there. Tech support that gives you the run around, cogent bandwidth, server downtime that can go on for 10 hours at a time and server speed that makes your grandma look as fast as a monkey with a rocket up her ass.

Damn, I hate iicinternet.com. This is JUST my opinion, but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND not hosting with them... even if they are really cheap, you'd be better off somewhere else.

I was with that fuckcking piece of shit nameless company that the green dude from that other board recomended and I got fucked. Then Tanker told me to go with techiemedia and I am now over happy. I have been with them for almost a year!

As for arrogant techsupport, thats true, I've dealt with tech support that hesitated and just about hung up on me because he thought my questions were stupid (Not lying, I was shocked also...I wasnt asking newbie shit either, we were talking about httpd.conf stuff). But to be fair, I've also talked with respectable tech support guys at candid as well.

As of now, I've had about as many bad experiences with candid as good which is why I dont recommend them but dont persuade people not to use them either. I still use them and they're neutral in my book.

As for their billing, never had any problems.
