The persons having problems with it...May have another program running that may be causing conflicts...

If you are finding memory leaks in Firefox.... what other programs are you running at the same time, Mate?

This is why people are leaving IE in droves. Sick and tired of being a part of Microsofts Patch of The Week Club.

The latest patch this week is really fucking a lot of people's systems.

Ok, you like Firefox and I don't. Cool! However, since when is an often updated program a bad thing? MS is one of few companies that actually fix shit that comes up FAST. None of this wait until a new version is released in 6 months crap.

Yes there are problems sometimes. It is impossible to test for every possible configuration on the planet before an actual release. Shit happens and they fix it pretty darn quick. Lucky for everyone that has a pc not 12 years old they can hit that magic system restore button and fix something that broke with 10 seconds of effort.

Everyone that likes Firefox seems to back it for reasons that are insignificant. What's really funny is that the effort to push Firefox as a wide release browser is going to create the problems that people moved to Firefox to escape. The bigger that userbase grows the more likely you are to get infected with some nasty ass spyware because it's becoming more and more profitable.

And for the record, I haven't had any spyware for a long damn time. I browse with IE and 0 antivirus programs. MS has put out some hardcore updates lately that kill any chance of spyware getting onto the pc of a non retarded surfer. 8 or 9 months ago I could run spyware programs and find 20 to 50 instances of stuff. Nothing that ever bogged me down but it was there regardless. When I run it now I find 0.

This will only fuel the fire of spyware makers to find alternate means of infection and my guess would be that Firefox users will be the number one target. Lets see how fast Firefox gets those updates out when there are 200 people coding spyware on a daily basis for every possible exploit in their code. They are not immune.

it's the tabs that cause memory leaks, if you open a new tab you use more memory, but since it only uses one process for the browser it for some reason keeps using that bit of memory. Same with IE7.
Open a bunch of tabs and soon you'll be using 100MB+, even if you've closed all but one.

What they need to do is open a new process each time you open a tab and then that process gets killed if you close the tab...

Reason you think firefox sucks is becuase yiu do not know how to reconfigure it I used firefox for a while now and id never go to ie again cuz ms products suck full of bugs and stuff. Besides the way i got my firefox setup it get rid of all the crap that ie gives you and also allows me to grab anything of anysite no metter what the protection is.
