I'm reducing my buy it now price to $750.

Consider this..

I have a couple dozen domains parked at Sedo right now that have very similar traffic sources. They get about 6% CTR and on average $0.05-$0.06 per click. That means to justify this BIN price of $750 you'd need to get about 250,000 uniques. Even if this traffic slowly drops you're looking at 2-3 months tops to get a return on your investment.

Excuse me but by shutting down the site, the traffic would not slowly decrease, but rather massively.
I closed a similar site with 8k uniques, a few weeks later it was getting 150 visits a day making 50 cents. lol

I visited my namedrive account again, its 10 - 15 cents in fact lol

With all due respect I disagree with what you wrote. There are way too many variables to simply equate your site(s) to mine and assume the same outcome.

I was going to leave it at that but since some people are probably confused I'll explain my response to you.

First of all we are talking about high traffic domains used for submitting TGP/MGP galleries. So right off the bat the biggest question is how old is the domain and how many galleries were submitted?

If you bought a domain two weeks ago, ran some galleries through an autosubmitter, built it up to 8k per day, deleted everything, and redirected the hits I agree with you it would die and die fast.

But if you bought a domain, submitted a gallery 2-3 times per week for several months or years, built the traffic up to a steady 50k - 60k per day, then stopped using it for a while, had many links indexed in search engines, and a steady stream of traffic from archives, messageboards, search engines, etc. then it is completely reasonable to assume that traffic might stick around for a while.

But just to clarify I am not trying to insinuate to anyone that these domains will retain their current traffic levels forever. If I thought that I would ask for 12-16 months of projected revenue instead of 2-3. What I'm assuming is that they will slowly drop off. But the buyer can opt to keep all the galleries if they want. I'll provide those too. If you did that you wouldnt' make as much in the short term as you would by simply parking it. But you would have a bunch of galleries in search engines. And that is potentially gold. I have one domain that has 3 galleries indexed that I submitted in 2004. All three promote the same site at Traffic Cash Gold and I get anywhere from $200-$400 per week like clockwork from those 3 galleries.. 2 years after submitting them. If I had sold that domain last year I'd be missing all that revenue. These could potentially have a similar winner among them.

So I've gone very long here but my point is there are way too many variables to suggest that one domain is equal to another regardless of how similar the traffic may or may not be. I think this is a good opportunity for someone and my asking price is very reasonable. I've sold many domains on this board and others.
