Sorry to hear about this - breakups are never fun and even worse when having to be done in public. You two were such a great couple that it's going to be hard for someone like me to come to grips that it wasn't perfect!

You're both great people and I'm sure the future will be good to both of you.

I'll miss all the Tassy/Hal pics and stories tho :(

JD 04-13-2006 10:45 AM

i know you know this, but no relationship is ever perfect. throughout our time together, even during our times of posting lovey stuff here - we still had our own issues. we are human, and relationships are hard - but they *can* be blissful with beautiful open & honest communication. don't give up on hope! perfect is no fun anyway. :winkwink: :winkwink:

Halcyon 04-13-2006 11:16 AM

I should take this moment to remind everyone that you can still get a physical copy of Airek's recent CD. Just send your flashcash ID# and address to halcyon AT cockybastard.com or halcyon AT flashcash.com and tassy or I will get you out a CD asap!

MrVids 04-13-2006 11:17 AM

executed with the grace and style that you are both well known for, well done and best of luck on your seperate paths.

Lol, I find these sparsely located little oases of honesty refreshing, in an otherwise endless sea of brown-nosing which is the norm on GFY.

Anyway, I don't know Tassy or Halcyon and have no reputation to be ruined by 'treading on the wrong toes', so I'll just say what's on everyone's mind but what they are too afraid to say themselves. I understand that they are decent people but also understand that they have made themselves into public figures, so they are no longer exempt from comment.

Firstly, I read a blog post by Halcyon in which he hinted that the break up was due to his 'problem', which I took to mean either he was gay (I know from reading GFY that he is a bit fruity) or had some mental issue (he said he was seeing a therapist about it). In which case, the breaking-up-because-of-lesbianism thing is probably a marketing ploy.

If the lesbianism thing is true, then regardless of what Halcyon may or may not say, it's all a rather humiliating experience for him. I don't need to explain the reasoning behind that one - you GFYers know what I mean :winkwink:

Or, was the entire relationship a sham in the first place, to put Flashcash on the map? If so, then it was very clever, like when they give Tom Cruise a 'girlfriend' to shore-up the money-making machine.

The one think that has always kept me from dating anyone in the industry (though there are so many benefits to it) is what happens when it ends. Good to see two people handle it in a loving and professional way! Nothing is worse than personal divides causing business divides! Kudos (and love) to both of you.

GlydeGirl 04-13-2006 11:23 AM

Congratulations Halcyon and tASSY for creating a meaningful relationship that lasted for a good long time. Just because things end, it doesn't mean they weren't successful -- it just means that things change. We all grow and evolve in unpredictable ways; so do relationships.

I'm sure that while the romance is over for now, the love, understanding, friendship, work relationship, and all those other elements of what made you two so compatible will continue to flourish. I wish you both the best of luck in your personal and business lives, and look forward to getting to know you both over the years.

Cheers!

Perhaps reading for comprehension next time would allow you to avoid embarrassing yourself. She didn't say she was leaving Hal because of Lesbianism. She said now that she and Hal are not together she's going back to Lesbianism.

Snuzzlebunnies 04-13-2006 11:27 AM

Good luck to the both of you. You two are the nicest people anyone could ever hope to meet. ^_^

ok,

a.) you're crazy. you stalk halcyon's blog?

b.) you read halcyon's blog and saw that he hinted at problems with himself that needed therapy and you assumed he is gay? ASS-U-ME'd? hopefully you get the point here, everyone else with brains will.

c.) perhaps you need therapy, because newsflash, it's not just for "being gay" & your writing indicates you could benefit from it.

d.) the lesbianism thing - was a lighthearted way of saying now that we're broken up i'm going to go back to women, not that we broke up because i don't love men. READ before you vomit in text. if i offended halcyon in anyway i apologise deeply, i'm pretty sure he knows what i meant though.

e.) our relationship was very real to me, and to a lot of people in this industry and on this board. they saw us in real life, intimately sometimes, and here. who are you? what are your credentials? and why did you even bother? (because i sense your dimwittedness i will let you know in advance those last few questions were rhetorical.)

*love love* to two amazing people, and even though some people say it's not neccessary, I think this official announcement was a great idea that took a lot of strength and zen-ness and I have a feeling it is much appreciated by people around here.

JFK 04-13-2006 12:53 PM

All the best to both of you :thumbsup

RAM 04-13-2006 01:06 PM

Elle Sommers 04-13-2006 01:14 PM

instead of typing boring essays on gfy.com, you may want to consider getting a life

axelcat 04-13-2006 01:33 PM

I wish you both luck

Jace 04-13-2006 01:43 PM

You know I love you both, and even though most of our time together has been an "online" friendship, I hope to continue to be a part of your musical lives as we all journey down our respective paths....I really enjoy being a soundtrack to your lives, together or seperate :)

and tassy, if you need any help with your site, whether it be design, coding or marketing, hit me up...I am always there to help you, free of charge, any time of the day...:)

NoWhErE 04-13-2006 01:45 PM

I applaud the way you both were capable of handling this public relationship. It takes serious brains and class to stay cool after all the heat generated from the constant barrage of questions and rumors.

I wish you both success.

And yes, my offer does still stand for both of you. Im always willing to help the people I respect.
