How about TinkerBell a soft name for a hard looking dog

pornguy 04-12-2006 03:09 PM

Very cute dog. We try to name our animals with something that comes from them. Our Big dog is an Akita, from japan, so we named her sayonara, the little one had unusually large teeth when we got her, and I was reading an Ann rice Vampire book at the time, so her name is Akasha.

Abyss_Arv 04-12-2006 03:27 PM

Worldnet 04-12-2006 03:28 PM

"accident"-> It should be againest the law to breed pitt bulls.

Helix 04-12-2006 03:42 PM

she looks like a "Molly" to me :) she is a cutie

purescotty 04-12-2006 03:53 PM

Wow, she looks like a champ!

I like Riley for female dogs and Charlie for males, however I think you should ultimately name her yourself. If you take someone elses suggestion you might think of that person whenever you call her, and seeing as this is GFY that person could be named ASSJOCK or something. ;)

Your SOOOO wrong.

My wife IS the main rep for 2 states for one of the largest dog rescues in the country. I think she would know just a little bit about pits and other dogs. Not including the fact that HER pit bull which was also loyal and loving killed her black lab, and tried to attack an 11 year old boy. That dog was put down. An of course the direct (by a pit) attack that I have already shared in the last post on her a little girl that her coon hound had to save them.

Here are some of the local reports from just my area...

-------------------------------------------------------------

10/4/2005 11:09:03 PM

At least five people were attacked by a pit bull in Over-the-Rhine Tuesday night.

The pit bull attack happened around 8 p.m. near 14th and Pleasant streets.

One of the five victims was taken to University Hospital with severe dog bite injuries to her leg.

No one is quite sure why the pit bull -- who witnesses say often roams the neighborhood -- snapped and attacked five people, including children.

A 12-year-old girl suffered a bite to her leg and a 10-year-old boy was bit on his finger.

More but different story

Oct. 5, 2005 ? Authorities are looking for the owner of a pit bull that allegedly rampaged through a Cincinnati neighborhood, biting at least five people and absorbing several shots from a police Taser before being captured.

Police are investigating a witness's account that someone, perhaps the owner, may have "sicced" the pit bull on a female victim, Toni Leonard, who was treated for leg injuries at a local hospital. What's more, police believe Leonard was bitten by the same dog just days before, reported ABC News affiliate WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.

If the attack, which occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, was intentional, the dog's owner could be charged with felonious assault or harboring a vicious animal.

I could go on and on, Just with the SPCA There are 25 REPORTED cases in 2005 in Cincinnati alone. This does not even include the surounding areas. The pit is a dog breed that has been ruined by years of backyard breading. There are NO good pits just pits that have not attacked someone or something YET. Simple as that. Get your head out of your ass and look at the facts.

Threads like this do nothing but piss me off.

The ONLY thing that could be done at this point to redeem the breed is if every pit out there was killed, but for the very best animals, and responsible breeders took full control and breed them back to the dog they once where. This is not going to happen. You my friend will change your mind once you EXPERIANCE the truth about these animals and untill then talking to you about it is about as fruitfull as farting into a fan.

Absolutely :thumbsup
Any dog can become vicious in wrong hands. We have a pit and a rottweiler and they are both really good girls. The rottie loves playing with kids and is like a mother to our younger pit Jessica.

Yes, I do believe ALL PITS are bad. it's breed into the very nature of the dog. There is a reason they are against the law where I live. One of my dogs has had surgery and mutlple stitched across his face from protecting a little girl from one. (a "my pit is sooooo cute and would never hurt a sole" lunged at a 6 year old girl at the dog park, my wife stepped between them and our coon hound took out the pit to protect them both and suffered multiple surgerys due to it)

Around here, they are killed without question by the shelters. Almost no rescuse will touch one with a 10 foot pole.

thats really unfortunate.. i had a rednose/american pit for the last 13 years. never once gave me any problems. very loyal and protective. the only thing was she didn't like other dogs. i doubt you know that there are quite a few other dogs that have a more heated temperment then a pit. thats not quite the problem here its there lock jaw thats the problem. too many people get that confused with the dog being vicious. if you train the dog well, then you'll have a good dog. :2 cents:

tASSy 04-13-2006 09:45 AM

awwww!!! i'm a sucker for pit bulls and bully breeds in general! i got a pug because i live in a condo and can't have such a big energetic dog here! pits are such loving, loyal dogs and they are tough so you can play big with them - go you!!! :thumbsup

she's adooooorable of course, and i like the name bailey for her, or perhaps...kahlua-creme. she's reminding me of drinks apparently. =D
