Okay, so a drink or two is fun, and can be good for you.

But, there's absolutely no health benefits at all to smoking. You're basically admitting to yourself that you don't care about your health and life expectancy, and about the health of the people you spend time with either.

And don't start whining that you can't give up. Lots of people have done it. You're just not trying hard enough.

And don't even get me started on scum who smoke around kids.

however - i stand by the opinion that there's no benefits at all to smoking, and it is a stupid thing to do. and if you live an unhealthy lifestyle, you can probably look forward to plenty of bad health

Im on my way quitting, but smoking is the easiest way to get rid of occassional stress.
Some ppl are going for drinks, drugs, suicides.
Smoking is still not that harmful.

Smoking lowers the risk of catching airborne diseases & viruses because when we suck all that tar-ridden smoke in our lungs it kills the germs. If you had nice healthy clean lungs the germs will flourish like crazy. The smoke and tar smothers them out.

Where I have a problem is when I'm dining with my son especially and someone at the next table is puffing away during the meal and they're blowing smoke in our direction.

That is just plain rude that non-smokers have to endure 2nd hand smoke.

Well if you must know, im a smoker, I have asthma, And im trying to quit...

But I don't care...yeah i smoke, ive grown up around smoking all my life, WITH ASTHMA. Second hand smoke ius no worse then those nice powerplants blasting out all that pollution, as much as cars and etc..... As far as clubs and bars, there should be a smoking room, with GOOD ventelation, shouldnt be a problem.

I quit smoking December 27th 2005, I had one cig last weekend hanging out with a friernd waiting for a shooting lane to open up. It was more of 3 puffs, and I threw up, really.

I smoked for 24 years, after going on almost 4 months, I can't believe I used to be a smoker. It's a terrible addiction, and it took me easily 20 times to quit. I know how it sucks to be a smoking pariah.
