Hotmail Issue: "sorry, your envelope sender is in my badmailfrom list"

People who send email to my domain from a hotmail account find that it is not delivered and they get the error:

sorry, your envelope sender is in my badmailfrom list

Seems like I am on a Hotmail blacklist of some sort.

Can someone clue me in, or offer some advise?

An inability to send mail to a specific domain is typically caused by one of two factors:

1. High volumes of traffic on either Hotmail or the domain you're trying to send to will cause message delivery latency (delay). Your messages are queued up behind other messages waiting to be delivered. In these instances, you may get notifications that your messages are being delayed, or have not yet been delivered. Since no corrective action can be taken, it's best to be patient and know that your mail will ultimately be delivered once traffic lessens.

2. If you receive a specific message that your mail is blocked by another service, this occurs when too much unwanted/unsolicited/commercial mail is sent from one service (Hotmail) to another (AOL) or vice versa. In these cases, a service may opt to block mail for a specific amount of time (usually no more than 48 hours) while it clears the unwanted mail off its servers and communicates with us about any issues. Again, these situations typically resolve themselves.

Of course, there is the rare chance that your mail is failing to be delivered for a reason other than the two mentioned above. If you find that you cannot send mail to a specific domain for a period of greater than 48-hours, please reply to this message and we will investigate and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

I have had someone tell me that it looks like hotmail blocks anything sent to a domain that is on a virtual host.

Anyone know anything about this?
