Celeron D 346 3.0 GHZ & 533mhz FSB or AMD 3100 1.8 GHZ & 1500MHZ FSB?
Which one is faster?

oh and I am assuming you mean a sempron 3100? If so technically speaking the sempron should be a step up from the celeron. The sempron line is supposed to be match naming with the celeron line.

They call it 3100+ because it's an equivalent of a 3.1 GHz processor.. must mean something they can achieve that out of only a 1.8 GHz clock speed. Go with AMD.

The AMD Athlon 64 3500+ is the better system. If you are building your system, check out http://www.newegg.com for the components, they are the fastest and the cheapest. You would be surprised, you can get a great P4 processor for $200 or less.
