I am enjoying Indiana

While there is no doubt that it is as cold as a witches tit in December around here, it is very relaxing.

goodgirl's family is quite nice and I feel at home.

Headed out to the riverboats last night for some dining, drinking and gambling and had a blast. Sandman joined us for dinner and drinks at Binion's Steakhouse, then we headed to the blackjack tables.

I walked out up $500+ so I was pretty happy. Paid for the airfare and then some. All in all, I would say a good time was had by all 4 of us.

Maybe next time I come out here more of you Chicago based webmasters can venture out of your abodes for some networking with your fellow midwest webmasters. You will have a good time, I assure you.

indiana aint so bad.. Kentuckys even better... specially around derby time which is coming up. an indiana webmaster and i were talking last nite we oughta have a get together here sometime, right around derby time would be great.

Omigosh! A pal of mine, a cop here in LA was talking about that steak house! He's from Indiana too. I thought it was in Illinois!

I have lots of family in Indiana and to this day they've never complained about living there. Must be real nice.

Well, picture the exact opposite of Colorado. It is flat. Very, very flat. The primary advantage that I can see is that if your dog runs away, you can still see him 3 days later.

My laptop isn't exactly set up with all the tools I have at home, and I will have to see if I can remember the password for one of my servers FTP. If nothing else, I will post pics when I get back Tuesday/Wedsnesday.

Well, in Denver it's flat when you look to the east and mountainous when you look to the west. It kinda sucks. I feel like I'm trapped in Kansas sometimes ... especially when you get out towards the airport. ESPECIALLY when you miss the turn to the airport and go 20 miles out of the way and you stop at the gas station and ask for directions and there are Kansas postcards.

Yep! it's the same place! It's great when people share a good restaurant/dining experience. It shows that the staff really cares and treats you like you should be treated. This is the third recommendation for that restaurant I've heard this year! It must really be great.

I had a crazy weekend the strokes concert on friday and then a couples shower on saturday. So was not able to make it but wanted to share that next time I would be interested

well I'm from IN and it's not that bad but I'm glad I'm on vacation in AZ and in 3 weeks moving from NE Indiana to Arizona.

Derby is a blast - my favorite event of the whole year, actually. I love the whole thing, well, except for how the hotels fuck me -- Holiday Inn Express (only thing open) is hitting me for $200 a night plus tax. And that?s not even a fuckin' suite! But its really worth it and race day is an unbelievable blast.
