    Some fuckers attacked my server [drama details inside]

    Some fucking bastards attacked my server with DOS attack from multiple IPs...their hitbots were really fast and caused that load of my server increased to 18 ) Ssh was inacessible so the only one choice was switch attacked domain to 255.255.255.255...I was appriciated that my dns servers are on other machines so it worked promptly. Then I wait few minutes and restarted it remotely. Server status seemed to by in normal so after few minutes I switched attacked domain back...Hitbots were away...

    Look at image below...they attached it's url to HTTP requests:



    WTF?

    What are Your tips how to fight against attacks like these?

    Any advice will be appriciated

                              If in the U.S., normally you could call the feds... Although, I'm not sure if that's the best thing to do now-a-days in this biz.

                                  Better solve it alone ) I'm doing some optmimiztions on Apache and installing second web server only for static objects.

                                      2nd, Don't talk about it on public boards that the attacker is probabally reading.
