Now that we went to a tankless hot water heater I sometimes have a tendancy to stay in there until I prune up big time.

how much was that heater? did you replace your regular hot water heater with it?

I've been doin' a little reading up on those myself lately. We need to replace the furnace, central AC and water heater sometime this summer likely...and I'd like to switch to the tankless system.

Any drawbacks with it?

Umm only drawbacks are having extra space where the tank used to be.

Depending on size of house though you may want an additional unit or two in other locations (does not need to be as big or pump that many gallons per minute) such as laundry room, kitchen etc.

That's true. Although our place is about 2400 sq. ft. - the furnace is over 28 yrs. old and gargantuan...along with the water heater.
