now, listen to this. here is the really crazy part and one reason i strongly believe in karma. read on, many wont believe this.

i had taken over 400 pictures at the show up until that point. we were coming from the library party, heading for a secret destination when amy gets the idea that she wants to jump in the fountain and get naked for all to see who will watch. ok, she does, yey! good times right?

now, we think its over, or i did. not a chance. amy now decides that she wants me in the fountain too. now mind you, i've had enough jaegermeister thanks to xxxjay and his VIP area at the party to kill a small animal, so me standing is a task in itself, let alone trying to fight off a crazy, fun loving, girl that just wants to go fountain diving. no bueno. she got the best of me.

now, while entering said fountain i've got a motorola razor v3 in my pocket, my 300 dollar sony cybershot, a massive amount of business cards from people that i had met just at this show, and a bunch of other assorted things.

here's where the story gets interesting. ok, i took a dip in a fountain. no big deal, all in an expected days work for me. however, the cell phone was previously submerged earlier in the day by a glass of water by the pool at the hotel, so when i went into the fountain, the battery was dead on the phone. NO JUICE. the camera was in the OFF position.

amy made it up to me in a very nice way

so, after i am all dried off after a hot shower to avoid catching pneumonia, i throw the phone and camera without their batteries into my bag and do not try to turn them on.

after 3 days, i put the batteries back into the camera and the motorola razor, and both the motherfuckers work! with as much bitching I see about razor phones on this board i thought oh fuck this is gonna be really bad.

i was more upset to loose the pics, however, nothing is lost and the camera which did have a problem opening the protective slide window, now does not.

how the fuck do you explain all this? completely submerged electronics that turn right back on like new once they are dry? even the business cards survived.

so, all in a days work for me. at least no one's got video of myself and Nick Bauww taking out the railing and almost bringing down the Rio restaurant at the Topbucks dinner.

i am sorry i said "fucking bitch!" after she did it, but that water was cold.

even funnier, security, the valets, and the undercovers that were in the area thought it was funny too.

The Mission Palms has be christened by the adult internet court jesters!

OMG.. you should have heard some of the things I was saying while we walked back from the bar. I saw some guy he said his name was Bob which I commented that it was a common name. OMG, I dont remember ANY of this. This is why I have the videotape, to see what hella-silly things I did the night before. Although, if I had not seen the tape, I would still to this day be thinking that we just fell in by some slippage of some sort. Now I know that I did it.

Dunked electronics will often work once they dry out, but if there was any salt or contamination in the water then you may find internal corrosion stops it dead in its tracks sometime in the future...

i think that the key point here is both pieces of electronic gear were off and the cameras battery was definitely 200% dead for a day before that even happened. i still can't believe that they work.
