adult subscriber lists.
Adult webmaster list 4 sale.

LMK if you've got an adult subscriber email list and you'd like to mail to it. Sure you can probably do it yourself but do you know how much of it gets blocked by filters at places like aol,hotmail,yahoo etc..? tons.. we can get thru the blocks.. lets do some deals..we can generate signups for you ...for each email you trade into the pool, you'll get one back.. list is only mailed between the two of us. won't be slutted out.

Oh and I've got an adult webmaster email list of 20,000 addresses I'm sorta slutting out...

I will only sell 2 copies not do fuck with it too much... $1500 its been heavily scrubbed.. only had a few complaints last time, we removed them..got rid of the spamcop flamers.. it produces very well for webmaster programs..got about 35 signups to the program last mailing.. pretty strong results.. LMK

This is a (mostly) true story. It has nothing to do with this thread.

One time I bought an ad in a double opt in list with a billion subscribers or whatever.

So, the ad goes out, I'm a few dollars lighter, but excited to see what happens. It's sure to make me millions, right?

Holy shit!

Next thing I know the fucking sirens go off. I'm suddenly getting 100's of angry emails accusing me of being a spammer. These people are pissed off. Really really pissed off. They're sending me death threats, my home address, my mother's maiden name, my social security number, and where I work. My phone starts ringing and it's my host calling me to ask what the hell I'd done. I swear to god I thought I heard a helicopter hovering over my house. I turned off all the lights and locked the windows, but I could hear the pissed off protestors setting up a tent city out in front of my house.

I had to explain shit to my host and my sponsors and aol and I don't even remember who the fuck else. It wasn't really that fun.

So, now I would only do an email ad with someone who I personally knew and trusted.

That's my story. Again, it has nothing specific to do with this thread, but I wanted to share.

I've had good and bad experiences..

and decisions one makes should be based on experience, but if you didn't have any prior experience doing mailings, ya learn hard sometimes.

One of my paysites was promoted to 2 million opt in people..one of cen's mailers, got 23 signups in 1 days mailer, and there were certainly many other banners in the mailer, other text links, etc.. so for what it was worth, it wasn't bad at all. It depends on who does it for you. I only work with people that get good results and we don't see flames like you've described. Man, thats a living death sentence, and for what, trying to promote your fuckin business. We've seen the power of bulk, and the shitty side as well. It works, if done right.

I run two small, totally opt-in lists and I always get complaints when I send it out. It always looks like it's a wife who's doing the complaining though.

I run three double opt-in lists and have done a lot of work to gather the addresses myself (through my free sites) and make sure they stay clean lists. I spoke to the guys at SpamCop, my host, all my sponsors, etc. and then had a script custom-written that keeps everyone happy.

I still get about one complaint per 500,000 messages I send (I send 2,000,000 per month), so it's not perfect, but I never hear helicopters over my house!
