We go to these conferences to conduct business, have some well needed fun, network, confirm and deny rumours and gossip...

I am constantly amazed that people think they can trash talk others without it getting back to the person they are trashing...

There are no secrets. Least of all, amongst our community.

So, anyone hear any rumours about themselves? From, perhaps surprising or not so surprising people?

Strange you should mention that because someone told me they heard a rumor that you were a two-bit scamming whore with dubious accounting practices when it came to filing your 'expenses' at the shows with your employers.

Fortunately, i was able to confirm that it wasnt in fact a rumor

People will always have something to say whether you do anything or not. It's jsut the nature of the beast.

I like to think that if these people take the time to conjur shit up and spend their time gossiping about you then, so be it! I take it as a compliment b/c I have far better things to do with my time than to create BS for someone..

You're right, in a way. Rumours and trash talking are part of this and every other industry. But, what if the rumours are lies and in some way hurt you or your business...then what?
