as you grow older your definition of "friend" changes. you start to differentiate "friends" from "buddies" and you realize that its not the people you get to see frequently that matters, but those with you in the toughest of times

I never needed to really count on my friends... but real friends will also tell you when you're making a mistake.

Personally, I have probably a couple... at least 4 that I know of... couple other close peep, but I try never to depend on people arround.

Less the a handful..

the few friends that i would consider really close and would be there with me and have been with me through anythying would be girls, i can only think of one of my guy friends who i know will be there and has been there through anything and everything. There are five people I would drop anything for.

This thread has reminded me to call a few people I have been meaning to catch up with, tomorrow.

For me I would say no more than 10 and closer to 5... That's plenty. Real friendships take a lot of work.:2 cents:
