Are you only cool on GFY if you go to shows?
It seems like you're only cool if you go to shows. It's funny because I went to a show a couple years ago and met several people on a very short basis. It was like, "Hello, I'm....." and then followed by, "Nice to meet you." We exchanged business cards but didn't say two more words to each other.
After that show, the same people that I had no more than a 30 second conversation with posted in their "shout out" threads that I was a standup guy and was really cool to meet. WTF!?!?! I appreciated the shout out but how can they guage what type of person I am in a 30 second meeting? Was it the way I shook hands? The way I said hello? It's just funny that the majority of the people that are "cool" on GFY are the ones that go to every show and they [Show Goers] treat everyone else like they can't afford to go and treat them like shit on the board. Too funny. |
