I just did it to fix a problem on my LapTop and the speed increase on the whole network has improved dramaticly.

Its not a driver as such, its the software that is actually on the router. I didnt even know it needed to be done every so often.

changeing the default admin password would help

everytime linksys updates their firmware, you need to do this.

otherwise you will notice one day that your internet completely comes to a standstill like dialup. in that case, this is most likely the issue.
