"They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha Haa!", the song!

http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2005/0...iations_o.html

When I was just a kid this song hit the airwaves. In all these years gone by no song has had this much controversy. It was banned several times especially by mental health advocates. The kids from Marist and Vassar Colleges would drive up to the mental hospitals and blare this song when it came on the radio and then the patients and attendants would chase them away.

For you youngins out here who've not heard this song it's a classic. When songs were fun and just the fun of them would get them banned but hits at parties.

what was even better that the flip side of the single was the same song, played backwards - what's scary is that I still remember the "words" to part of it
