Gilead Sciences (GILD) manufactures VIREAD--a very important HIV treatment. Check out the article below for another possibly even more lucrative use for viread. Another interesting piece of info re Gilead--they are the manufacturer of Tamiflu. Tamiflu is quite possibly the only effective current treatment against Bird Flu.

Donald Rumsfeld used to be chairman of that company. it's a good bet that the company will profit from the 'global crisis'.

He's also still the majority stock owner which gives even more credence to a good buy - however I think that it all depends on whether Roche is ordered to divest and allow other pharms to produce Tamilflu which could happen if there is enough scare factor raised in the next few months - Bush has already recommended to Congress to stockpile a few $bill worth so the stock will see a nice jump here when that order comes through

added - they are not the manufacturer of Tamiflu although they do hold the patent for it so they get residuals from royalties

these guys are true gangsters. they take control of this huge ship and move all the money from the treasury into their own accounts. and they do it right in front of everyone. the biggest crimes happen in front of the world's eyes.
