Couple of days they actually congratulated Lukasjeko winning the Belarus election. Absolutely disgraceful and very poor judgement as rest of Europe condemn the rigged election. Now I read they fed Saddam with info about US troop movements before the invasion in 2003...

it is the old imperialistic mentality, Russian government can't accept that it lost the cold war and is lagging behind in everything from the west, so they have to show that they do not bow down to the west

What a load of bullshit, the fact Putin was against removing Hussein from command is because it was not in the best interest of the Iraqis. It was only in the best interest for Bush. And keeping Lukasjeko in command in White Russia is in the best interest for Putin.

US government still cannot understand the fact that other countries have other cultures, other economies and mentalities, and require a different method of command and regimes in order to keep a country from going out of control. A good example is what happened to Russia when the Soviet Union fell. It would have been better *for the people in that country* if it still had a communist regime. It is still not 'free' even though its democratic. And Afghanistan and Iraq will never be 'free' either because of a different mentality of the people.
