Fucking punk kids screwing with my dog!

Ok, So I have an English Mastiff Puppy, just over a year old. Over the last few weeks he's been acting odd, defensive and very protective. My wife and I thought that maybe it's due to her being pregnant, but today I hear him barking outside and go right out to find the kids from next door teasing him and shit. To the point where he has jumped up and broke part of a brand new kentucy 3 rail fence! (This puppy weighs about 150 now...) I fucking lost it and laid into them, telling them to leave the fucking dog alone etc, then went over and had some words with thier parents. I'm NOT going to put up with this kind of shit from some long haired skater punks. I think I scared the shit out of them which is good, and thier father got really pissed at them and hauled them inside so who know but this stuff really pisses me off. Mastiffs by trait are very protective but also have LONG term memory which if you train them wrong or fuck with them you can mess them up for life very easy. about 3 days ago the meter guy came to the house while I was away and was talking to my wife at the front door. My dog charged the guy and took his arm in his mouth and held him! Shit, if he had broke skin we could have been looking at a major lawsuit!. The guy just about shit himself needless to say. So now I have to undo the damage these fuck wits have caused. And I'm having security cameras installed to monitor my yard. Luckly, I have a very good friend who works in the video security filed and he's hooking my up with Wirelss IP outdoor infared cameras used for cheap so I will be able to actually see my cameras from anywhere in the world, even from my cell phone, which has high speed interent access. The feeds are motion activated and will be fulling recorded to a extra computer I have here. (sounds like and extreme measure, but I'm not going to fuck around with these hillbilly fuckers. I'm going to be able to provide proof if I have to, of anything that they are doing.)

I'm sending my puppy to this school http://www.k9usa.com/video.html in a couple weeks, already put down a grand down payment on the 4500 dollar course. It's a one on one course where they actually take the dog and board him and work with him for a couple of weeks then provide on going training with my wife and I and an instuctor twice a week for the life of the dog. If you look at the example video it gives you just some of the basics they train, by the end of the first 2 weeks, he should behave and be able to do everything that the dog in the video can do. I'm having him learn the obediance stuff, plus he's going thought the full protection training. This is the same place that trains all our local police dogs ETC, and they come very highly recommened. I would like to see these like shits try and fuck with him once he's done. I'll post some video of mine once I'm done, before and after...

We took him in and spent a couple hours with the trainer a couple nights ago, after the meter man problem. Christ, they came an reaplaced my meter with one that they can now read from the street cause the guys scared to come up to our house. Great red flag there. We are taking this pretty serious. Then to walk out and catch the fucks red handed teasing the dog! I wanted to kick thier teeth in. Not to metion the damage to the fence. I have fixed it for now, but still going to need some work once it warms up.

We are sitting in the trainers office and a guy walked up behind us and I though my dog was going to kill him. I have never seen him act this way! He's usually so freindly and loving. It was everything I could do to hoild him back withe the pinch collar. The samew guy took him and within 5 minutes had him sitting and laying down for him.. I was impressed.

My wife works with various dog rescues and we always are fostering 1 or 2 puppies till they get new homes. I had my mastiff before we where together and really had no idea that there where these type of rescues out there untill we got together. Her dog is a yellow coon mix. She saved him from a backyard breeder that was abusing dogs and went to prison for it. This dog was badly beeaten and almost starved when she took it in 4 years ago. Now, it's one of the best dogs I have ever had around. Great dog. We are putting him though a much lesser, 12 week training with the same people at the same time, so both dogs learn the same commands etc. The lesser course is 500 bucks of the 4500 cost but also give him followup training for life if we need it. He's 4 years old now, but already pretty well trained, just need the polish here and there. If people are looking for new pets I would highly suggest looking for local rescues. Thumb up for being there for that poor cat.

I used to do volunteer work at the German Shepherd Rescue in Burbank. It was emotionally really hard to see so many incredible dogs just dumped off by idiot owners who should have never gotten a GSD in the first place.

They're big dogs. They're ultra bright and love to play. Most people buy them and don't know what's involved with having a large protective dog in the house. Its a big responsibility.

Tell me about it. I havew talked quite a few people OUT of getting a mastiff. They see mine and want one, he's a favorite at the local dog park. The one's that are seroius I have a LONG talk with about size, what the eat, how they snore/fart DROOL and require almost constant attention. Plus they need some room. Ours have thier own bedroom, but usually sleep at the foot of the bed. But, you have to give them and area thats theirs, someplace safe they can go to "get away" from the other dogs or to just relax when they are tired. These are not dogs you can just leave alone all day. I have found Mastiff recuses and it's the same stupid shit excuse all the time... (Same excuse I here from Dane rescues) "I didn't know the dog would get so big...) God I want ot slap people sometimes. ITS A MASTIFF what do you think that name means. Mine takes shits that wiegh more than most peoples entire dog! LOL!. People need to understand what they are getting into and not just buy a puppy cause it so cute.... Our dogs are part of our family and treated as such. My wife got attacked at a local park by a pit about 2 years ago and her dog fought it off, getting 24 stitches across his snout and a piece of his ear torn off. But protected her. SHe got attacked trying to save a little girl who the pitt went after first and stepped between the pit and the child. The damn pit got away before anyone caught it so god knows what happened to it but around here it would have been put down. The owner of the dog was never locaed either. But, it's an example of how her pet returned the favor of her saving him.

My house is pretty much a Rottweiler rescue now. I have three of them, two of them are rescued. If I ever caught somebody messing around with any of them, I don't think I'd be able to control my temper.
