A high pr adult site linking to a mainstream site - bad for mainstream site?

So lets say im trying to grow a mainstream site to pr6...obviously im not gonna link adult sites or trade with adult sites. But is it bad to have a link from a pr4 or 5 adult site to the mainstream one? Will this fuck things up and prohibit me from getting pr6 in the future?

In theory, links from a lower PR site (adullt or mainstream) can bring your PR down. Of course, I say in theory, because we can't stop people from linking to us if they want to. Also, what would you do if a PR5 links to your PR4 and then some day you end up with a PR6. Would you contact the PR5 and ask them to remove their link?
